Migration to a central BI platform and optimization of the Data Warehouse

Challenge

For management and operational reporting, ESKA was still working with CorVu, an outdated BI solution that was no longer supported. As a result, it became increasingly difficult to maintain and further develop reports.

In addition, the inventory reports did not match reality. Data from two different inventory systems differed from each other, leaving users with insufficient trust in the available steering information.

Solution

QUIKK guided the complete modernization of the BI landscape. We implemented a new Power BI environment as the central reporting facility and developed various new dashboards for finance, production, and operational processes.

To improve data quality, new tables and data models were developed within the existing Data Warehouse. Additionally, we analyzed and corrected the differences between both inventory systems, making inventory data consistent and reliable once again.

At the same time, we implemented various optimizations within the Data Warehouse to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.

Result

ESKA now has a modern and future-proof BI platform based on Power BI.
